Oil-immersed power transformers · S11
S11 Series 10 kV and 20 kV Low-Loss Power Transformer
The S11 series for 10 kV and 20 kV is a three-phase oil-immersed distribution transformer whose core is built from cold-rolled silicon steel grades such as DQ133-30 (type 9), 30ZH120 (type 11) and 23ZH90 (type 13).
Product overview
Three-phase oil-immersed distribution transformer in a fully sealed corrugated tank, with no-load loss averaging 30% below the GB/T 6451 values.

Product overview
The fully sealed corrugated tank keeps the oil out of contact with the surrounding air, so it absorbs no moisture and its dielectric strength does not fall. Oxygen cannot enter the tank either, which prevents ageing of the insulation and extends the service life of the unit.
Product characteristics
- Efficient and economical: the core uses high-permeability grain-oriented silicon steel with step-lap joints, bringing no-load loss on average 30% below the GB/T 6451 values, while optimised windings cut load loss by an average of 25%.
- Sealed against ageing for a longer life: the corrugated tank is fully sealed — the rim fully welded, or bolted with a gasket — so the oil never meets the atmosphere. Keeping out oxygen and moisture slows oil degradation and insulation ageing and reduces maintenance frequency and cost over the life cycle.
- Reliable sealing, stable operation: oil- and weather-resistant rubber seals, improved flange-face design, and tighter leak testing and process control in manufacture mean no leakage under thermal cycling — suitable for pole-mounted and platform-mounted units, box-type substations and urban substations in continuous service.
- Self-compensating corrugated cooling, no conservator: the corrugated radiator walls expand and contract with oil temperature and absorb the change in oil volume, replacing the conventional conservator. Removing the conservator and its fittings also removes sealing interfaces, raising reliability further, and gives a neat, compact outline for both 10 kV and 20 kV.
- Small footprint, flexible siting: without a conservator the unit is lower and smaller, which suits narrow urban streets, industrial plants, residential distribution rooms and other confined spaces. At 20 kV the current for a given rating is lower and less cable material is needed, which together with the compact tank makes siting easier.
