HV & LV switchgear assemblies · GCK
GCK AC Low-Voltage Withdrawable Switchgear
GCK withdrawable switchgear uses a fully bolted enclosure divided by steel barriers into a main busbar compartment, functional-unit compartment and cable compartment, for power stations, petrochemicals, metallurgy, light industry and infrastructure.
Product overview
Withdrawable LV switchgear assembly for three-phase 50–60 Hz, 380 V systems, serving as power distribution (PC) and centralised motor control (MCC) equipment.

Overview
GCK withdrawable switchgear is used in power stations and in the petrochemical, metallurgical, light-industry and textile sectors as well as in infrastructure. It operates in three-phase systems at 50–60 Hz and a rated voltage of 380 V as the core equipment for power distribution (PC) and centralised motor control (MCC), covering incoming and feeder circuits, motor control and reactive-power compensation.
Enclosure
The enclosure is fully bolted, formed from high-grade cold-rolled steel on CNC equipment and joined with high-tensile bolts — accurate, rigid and easy to dismantle.
- The main busbar compartment sits at the top of the cubicle, housing the horizontal main busbar and providing a through duct that keeps the busbar system continuous and safe.
- The functional-unit compartment is at the front, divided by barriers into separate unit cells; circuits are stacked vertically over an effective height of 1760 mm.
- The cable compartment is at the rear, with cable supports and clamps and ample termination space for routing and fixing incoming and outgoing cables.
- A ventilated metal cover on the cubicle roof provides natural convection cooling; where a busbar trunking is used, it is replaced by an insulating cover to maintain clearances. The base is fully closed with an insulating plate against small animals and foreign objects.
- The standard degree of protection is IP20 or IP30; at IP40 the rear door is bolted rather than hinged to improve sealing.
- Standard dimensions are 2200 mm high and 1000 mm deep, in widths of 600, 800, 1000 and 1200 mm; cubicles can be shipped in assembled groups no longer than 3 m.
Product features
- Modular design: a 20 mm basic module gives highly interchangeable structural parts, flexible assembly and easy standardisation and extension.
- Corrosion protection: all metal parts are galvanised or powder-coated with an environmentally friendly finish for harsh industrial environments.
- Compact and safely segregated: a high density of functional units in a small footprint, with steel barriers between unit cells to limit the extent of a fault.
- Busbar system: main busbars (L1/L2/L3) and the neutral busbar (N) run at the top, the protective earth busbar (PE) at the bottom, and branch busbars support three-phase four-wire arrangements.
- Flexible unit design: functional units are available as withdrawable, plug-in or fixed types, and drawers of the same rating are mechanically and electrically interchangeable.
- Anti-drop mechanism: a travel stop latches the drawer at about four-fifths of its travel; full withdrawal requires a slight lift, preventing the drawer from falling.
